On April first, there will be a protest in the aftermath of an elementary school shooting that resulted in the murder of three nine-year-old children and three staff members.

Agree, I think if you don't make money from this sort of thing (like journalists who regularly get assaulted by the protestors) then you should avoid them entirely.

Not really; a lot of weird shit happens on April 1st without the thought of it coming to mind. I remember getting a day off at work on April 1st a few years ago. We thought they were kidding, but they were dead serious about it due to a "training holiday" or whatever.
It was still disappointing, like the "Antifa Apocalypse".
