I'd have to say that one of my all time favorites is often overlooked due to it's primary genre... That movie being High Plains Drifter .... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="

Horror, you say? 😉

Yep, and if you watch it and still don't think it fits as a horror movie, I'd ask you to re-watch it and pay closer attention ;)

The Wraith...Though it has the trappings of a teen romance mixed with Science Fiction elements, and serves as a cheesy 80's answer to the later Fast and Furious franchise. It still ticks the box as a horror movie.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="

I've made a new thread just for discussion of horror movies. Feel free to post links to Good Horror movies in this thread. :)

I found this movie to be super spoopy, but it strikes me as one of those movies that you either love or hate so idk how everyone else feels.

On a personal note when I think of Good horror movies I tend to drift back to the 70's, 80's and early 90's because I am a huge fan of practical effects and the old school style of a gradual build up in the story. And I'm also a fan of the "So bad it's good" stuff from those same decades for much the same reason. My gripe is that while CGI can be done well, it tends not to be in a lot of cases with respect to horror and is a slap dash affair that can and often does distract from a decent story. No slight against you or your taste Ace it's just my own admitted bias.

With the above taken into consideration here is a modern horror film that definitely gets my seal of approval and my recommendation for those that haven't watched it and would like something besides jump scares the movie or some over hyped CGI "Ghost adventures" .... I present to you the trailer for Primal Rage... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="

Practical effects are king. That's why the thing is such a good movie
