What makes us better

Hello All, James Habermann here,

So early on in this sites creation I was asked many a time what does this site have to offer the average user that other, more developed sites, already do. I've thought on this long and hard. One of the most obvious answers to this is the very lax standards for members. Josh Moon is someone I like and pay attention to. I see him consistently discussing banning members who he dislikes, Locking the forum registration because the "new" members he is getting aren't up to his high standards. I of course would never deem to tell a fellow forum owner how to run their site, I encourage them to do what overall compliments their own design. My design is more fluid and far more wide reaching. I don't wish for certain people with certain ideas to come and create a hugbox where only those with correct views or the proper banter can join and retain membership. All are welcome. The only cavate is of course, don't break US law. If you do on my site I will personally hunt you down and feed your own intestines to you in minecraft.

That aside it is a interesting difference but thats what it is, a difference in approach. That will not bring the flock to us. I made a mistake when I started this site again. I stuck to the safe path. I made the site into a mini kiwifarms. A gossip centric site focused on discussing lolcows. That is fun but as was pointed out to me other sites are more developed and active with not just the same content but the same attitudes. I thought on this long and hard and my mistake was opening 24 hour ops and then backing away and making it about posting random undesignated lolcows and then upon making a random lolcow thread I changed it to post about random weird occurrences. This was my mistake, not for making it and not for changing its purpose but for not using it for what it was designed for so now I will change it once more to reflect the true nature of METOKUR once more.

What makes us better than kiwifarms and onion farms? Trolling. These sites have a unwritten rule: Don't get into the pen with the lolcows. observe and document and discuss but do not become part of the story. This has never been my own rule for engagement. If you search my twitter FuroridaNoMaya on google a few non-twitter sites will pop up: A new article and a reddit post with hundreds of users. The former was from the trump election. I was fighting with random leftists because that is super fun for me and often I will use several methods of debate used to force people out of their comfort zone and into my familiar territory and some of that involves dishonest shitposting fake news. This news writer took interest in the story and specifically named me in their piece. After the creepshow art drama happened I made a fake twitter and pretended to be creepshow and fought with a lot of the people ranting about her for several weeks. Much fun was had, many laughs with friends shared.

I bring this up because this makes me personally an outsider for those sites. I could never stay out of the pen. I want to get in the pen and shove the cow over. I want to jump in the pig pen and wrassle the pig. That is insanely fun for me. Talking with former members of Metokur Forums it was never a gossip site., it was first and formost a troll forum and that is what I want. That is the culture I want to nurture. Members of Metokur would join fanzones and make fake accounts and stoke tensions and rally people and create infighting and would join both sides with no true interests or passion for the communities they would join. Many of you who know the deep lore knows of Jim talking smack about ICP and juggalos and of course you all saw my amazing rap as Scooby doo joint 666. Thats what we did and had fun. That was the 24 hour ops of old. I want that culture back. I want to go back to the original 24 hour ops; so I will.

I will be working with my mod team @ORoxies and @PaulyFrog64 as well as @srdf to make us a secondary home. The site will be a front. Most of the 24 hour ops will be on the surface for all to see. In a secondary place such as discord or telegram or something of the like we will coordinate our accounts and share funny moments so we don't blow our covers. I'd say if you want to be ahead of the game then make a handful of random twitters and youtube pages for future use. They're free and easy to make and can be repurposed in the future as you can simply change the name and picture on a whim. Join and talk to members of groups of interest. work your way in with them and in the future you can find and fake fight members on the opposition to increase your affections within the groups.

That being said one might ask, why make the ops public and risk spoiling the fun? My answer is simply: Chaos. The fact it will be a public op and word gets back to the groups like the catbois it means we might get hit but in exchange they will be EXTREMELY hostile to new joins and older joins who might be sleeper agents will be treated extremely skeptically and it with create a very chaotic environment and make the eventual dumpster fire as infighting hits new peaks and distrust spreads out of control all the better and more entertaining.

Anyway I hope this post finds you all well and helps to peak your interests. Let me see your best little troll faces.

Sincerely,
James Habermann

@srdf? Man fuck that guy, I heard he likes to eat ass and simp for the Russian government.

Yeah, no verification or anything; just send me a pm of the username. I'm using Element; it's supposed to be secure and not fucked with a TOS.
You can post images, videos, and audio.
But is it Free and Open-Source so that we can see the code and test it? Has it been reviewed by a third party, preferably a watch-dog tech group? I've never heard of Element before, but I have heard of Matrix, though I've not used it and don't know how it works.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. No, and it's a part of Matrix. It's the same software the network in Matrix use, mostly Rust.

Oh you mean I won't get bitched at for providing a ton of milk simply from lurking around cows?
Bunch of cloutchasing newfags have ruined things for anyone and everyone who enjoys making fun of these fucking clowns.
Cheers!

Thankful I'm not a staff member. Would rather sit back and do my own thing. Trollin' is a young man's game. Tend to think of my corner of the forum as the Old troll's home. where I can engage in muh' hobbies and share my insights of said hobbies with others that might want to take them up at some point.
